Welcome!

I have worked in the field of epigenetics for more than a decade, and my career to date has taken me to different institutes in the UK, USA and Germany. I am primarily interested in cancer epigenetics, but my work also encompasses the influence of environmental and lifestyle factors upon the epigenome, the maintenance of normal DNA methylation patterns, and epigenetic models of ageing. My work is highly translational, with much of my current work focussed upon epigenetic changes in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and how knowledge of these can be utilised to benefit patients.

My history in the field of epigenetics.

Studies examining epigenetic changes in solid tumours and leukaemias. My recent work has particularly focussed upon chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL).

Collaborative studies investigating the impact of a range of environmental exposures and lifestyle factors on the epigenome and the epitranscriptome.

Understanding the maintenance of epigenetic traits in the cell and how this is impaired over time. Includes work on understanding epigenetic models of ageing.

A list of research papers, book chapters, and posters presented at conferences.
